    Do Vitamins Cure Acne?
    By Jack Venta

A common question acne sufferers want to know is if vitamins really cure acne. I used to suffer from terrible acne and spent hundreds on different vitamins to try and cure myself of the acne plague...
And you know what? Although some vitamins in certain specific forms can help somewhat, they will never completely cure your acne.
In fact, I found a far more efficient tactic to clearing my acne - diet changes. Instead of overdosing on vitamins I changed my diet, and this produced fantastic results!
The problem with vitamins is that they are usually sold in their isolated chemical forms, such as vitamin a. The body simply cannot use the vitamin in this form. It needs the hundreds of other nutrients and enzymes found in food to be able to use the vitamins found in the food! Simply taking vitamin supplements with food is generally quite a poor substitute...
And that is why spending lots of money on specific vitamins is a waste of money. It really won't ever make any difference to your acne. Take it from someone who knows. Now there are some supplements that are useful for acne which I have successfully used...
But do you want to know the best thing I ever did to clear my acne?
This was something that stopped the cystic acne I was getting on a daily basis - I cut out vegetable oil from my diet!
Vegetable oil causes a major imbalance of hormones and I was eating it everyday at nearly every meal! So I found out where I was eating it (e.g. cooking oils, some sauces and junk food like chips (crisps).
Simply eliminate vegetable oil from your diet today and watch how much better your skin will look and how the worst of your acne will disappear. For more on how I eliminated my acne take a look at my free website now.

Acne and Dry Skin - A Tough Combination
    By Della Franklin

One of the toughest skin combinations to keep clear and healthy looking is acne combined with dry skin. This skin type, otherwise known as combination skin, presents its own challenges because each type of skin requires two completely different environments and skin care routines. Even though it is challenging, there are some things that you can do to keep your combination skin looking healthy and vibrant all year long.
One of the first things that you should remember about combination skin is that products that are intended to counteract each issue separately will not work on your skin. This is because products that are formulated for dry skin have oils and moisturizers that can add to your acne issue. Products intended to dry up acne, on the other hand, may cause dry skin. So what should you do?
Always use products that are formulated for combination skin. These products help even out skin conditions by moisturizing dry skin and absorbing oils on oily, acne prone skin. Keep in mind that moisture and oil are two separate things. You can absorb oil and replace moisture at the same time without exacerbating and existing acne condition. Here’s how:
Skin Care for Acne and Dry Skin
One of the most important things that you should remember when dealing with acne and dry skin is that a skin care regimen is vital. There is no way that you can skimp and ignore the needs of your skin. If you do, you will be left with a mess. At its most basic, your skin care routine should include the following:
    * Cleanser – Use a balancing cleanser that will gently cleanse your skin without drying it out. Skin that is acne prone has to be cleansed more often than other types of skin. Keep this in mind when choosing your cleanser. Choose something that can be used multiple times daily.
    * Toner – Toners and astringents are an important part of any acne skin care routine. Take care, though. Many toners that are made for acne prone skin are very drying. You need to make sure than anything that you use is made for acne prone skin as well as patches of dry skin.
    * Lotion – Always use a daily lotion that evens out your skin. A good daily lotion will moisturize dry skin while absorbing skin oils that cause acne.
    * Intense treatments – For especially difficult areas, you can spot treat your skin. Use acne treatments only on areas that are continuously affected by acne. You can also moisturize especially dry areas with a nightly intense moisturizer applied only to your dry skin.
Dry Skin and Acne: Things to Avoid
Just as there are things that you should do to treat your combination skin, there are some things that you should avoid. Keep in mind that everyone’s skin is different and yours may be able to tolerate the following to certain degrees.
    * Sun – The sun is the number one factor that dries and ages your skin. On the other hand, Ultra Violet rays can work wonders at clearing up acne. To get the acne fighting benefits of Ultra Violet rays without the damage associated with sun bathing, visit a tanning bed twice weekly for about 7 minutes per session. This amount of light will not tan or damage your skin but will help dry up your acne.
    * Cleansing pads – many cleansing pads formulated for acne riddled skin are extremely harsh and not intended for use on dry skin. People with oily skin can use these pads several times a day, but dry skin sufferers should not use them at all.
    * Oils and moisturizers – Just as many treatments for acne can dry your skin, many treatments for dry skin can cause acne. Avoid products with heavy oils and emollients. Perfumes and certain moisturizers may also cause breakouts.
Treating dry skin and acne combination skin does not have to be confusing and impossible. It can be as easy as reading product labels and making sure that you are purchasing products that are formulated for your unique skin. There are several good products on the market that are perfect for combination skin; you just have to find the ones that are perfect for you.
Remember; combination skin can be tricky to deal with, but it can also be beautiful, healthy, vibrant, and acne free. Do your homework, and you will find the right skin care routine for your dry skin and acne.

Acne Care - One Easy Thing To Do Now To Help
    By Boston Reynolds

One of the primary causes of acne breakouts is a build-up of toxins and wastes in your body and bloodstream. Your body has two preferred ways to rid itself of things it doesn’t want to keep inside, your bowels and your kidneys. The primary purpose of these two systems are to remove harmful things from your insides, either by voiding them (getting them out, physically) or by breaking them down and changing them into something else. However, when you overload these two systems, your body has other ways to do the same thing.
When your bowels and your kidneys aren’t available for the task, your body looks to the only other two things that can remove wasted from its system, your lungs and your skin. When your body decides to send waste product and toxins through your pores and out your skin, your body has signed itself up for an acne outbreak. Now, before this makes you upset, realize that an acne outbreak is significantly preferable to keeping toxins inside your body.
So, what can you do, to keep this from happening? While, yes, you can work on reducing the amount of toxins that you take in (and read our other articles for how to do this) that isn’t a practical thing to do this very minute. Right now, you want to give your waste removal systems a jolt, a way to get jumpstarted. There is a quick way to do this.
If you had to choose, you’d want your body to clear itself out via your bowels. It’s a lot easier just to sweep all the badness out, then it is to try to break it down and figure out what to do with it. One way to spur your bowels into action is through fiber intake. Fiber does two things. First, it actually helps to absorb toxins and waste, making them like toxin sponges as they pass through your system. Second, they encourage bowel movements, and when fiber is passed, it brings all that soaked up evil with it. By taking enough fiber, you’ll be speeding up the length of time that waste sits in your system, and you’ll be able to clean up even more along the way. Doing this will prevent your body from expelling it through your skin and pores.
So, other than fiber pills, what should you consider starting to eat? Foods high in fiber, of course. These includes fruits & vegetables, such as apples, bananas, oranges, raspberries, and strawberries. Also consider vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, parsnips, and potatoes. You should be eating these anyway, right? But, we’re not saying to start eating as much of these as you can, as doing so may do something worse.
One way to measure this is through how long waste sits in your body. 15-18 hours is the ideal amount, with anything below 12 being too fast, and anything over 24 too slow. If you are too fast, your body could be expelling food before it’s gotten all the nutritional value out of it. Too slow, and the waste product that your body doesn’t want sits around too long, causing trouble. A recommended amount of fiber to start with is 30 grams, and watch yourself, to see what it does. You can see how much you are taking in by reading the nutritional values of foods you eat, either on the packaging, or online.
Doing this alone wont stop your acne, but it’s the one thing that you can do right now, that will help you in the long run. Encourage your body to expel toxins through the bowels, and not your skin, and you are several steps on the right path.

Awesome Cheap Ways for Acne Blemish Treatment
    By Dan Adlam

There are many expensive ways to treat acne blemishes, and they don't necessarily always work. Cheap ways to remove acne blemishes are starting to become more common, and today we'll discuss two methods most commonly used to remove these nasty red blemishes.
The first way to remove acne blemishes is with baking soda and apple cider vinegar. This treatment is actually a very old treatment from books of the past. Many people commonly use it today - success rates are average, but to buy baking soda and apple cider vinegar is very cheap, and you may be interested in trying it out. The second way to remove acne blemishes is the express way - by using chemical peels to gently remove the top layers of skin so fresh new layers of skin from below would become visible on the surface. Chemical peels aren't expensive. There are many sellers on the Internet trying to sell you chemical peels for a few hundred dollars, and doctors try to sell it for a few thousand dollars, but I've found $15 chemical peels that work just as well.
So the first step: treating your acne blemishes with baking soda and apple cider vinegar (ACV). Since these are home remedies, there is no scientific proof for this home remedy helping out with acne blemishes. Baking soda supposedly works to soften top layers of skin over a period of time, so the top layer of skin would gently fall off. Baking soda and ACV does at times irritate the skin, so monitor how your skin reacts to this treatment. Make sure you wash each one off completely before applying the other. Remember the baking soda and vinegar experiments in elementary school before think about applying both at the same time.
The first step is to apply baking soda to the skin. Wet your face. Next, take a little bit of baking soda and place it into your hand. Wet the baking soda, so it turns into a paste. Next, use the baking soda the same way you put on acne creams. Once the baking soda is spread out on your face, gently rub in a circular motion. Don't keep the baking soda on for more than a minute - some people keep it on for less than a few seconds - again, use this according to how your skin reacts. Wash it off when you're done.
Apple Cider Vinegar has been known to help cure acne, and it also supposedly helps out with acne blemishes as well. Some people drink ACV, which helps with digestion. Apple Cider Vinegar has also been used as a weight loss product - they also come in pills. Apple Cider Vinegar stinks. Make sure to wash this stuff off completely, and use it in a well ventilated room.
To apply apple cider vinegar, make a concentration of 30% apple cider vinegar to start off. If the concentration is too strong, it may be tough for your skin to handle. Apply the apple cider vinegar throughout the skin. The duration you should leave this stuff on is not definite - you can leave it on from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on what is right for your skin. After, wash the apple cider vinegar off completely, and you're done.
Following the baking soda and apple cider vinegar treatment could come other treatments, such as an egg white face mask, or you could just directly apply your acne creams. Use this treatment at your own risk, and remember to always make sure your skin isn't being damaged from this treatment.
    Chemical Peels
You probably already heard of chemical peels and how they remove the top layers of skin so new skin from below would be visible. Chemical peels are safe to use, and are becoming much more popular than using lasers to treat skin problems. Healing times for chemical peels are much faster than lasers. There are so many benefits to using chemical peels, and you can use them regularly for a cheap price. Chemical peels definitely work faster than the apple cider vinegar and baking soda treatment, so I suggest you use chemical peels if you can.
There are so many chemical peels out there today, but which one to buy? The Internet has many chemical peel products, but most of them are overpriced, because they offer fancy packaging. These cost a few hundred dollars to purchase. Doctors may perform the chemical peel procedure for you, costing a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. But, you really don't need to spend this much, especially when you can purchase a chemical peel for just fifteen dollars. Also, chemical peels have worked wonders for people who currently have acne, including severe acne, so it's definitely worth the time to use them and to check them out.
You will want to start out with an AHA peel or a light concentration TCA peel. These peels won't burn the skin, but will make the top layer of skin loose, so it would fall off over the period of a week. Start with mild concentrations, and slowly work your way up to peels that are stronger. You shouldn't need that strong of a peel in order to treat acne blemishes.
